In Miami in the 70's, we had cool, form-fitting ones, dark green with white pinstripes! More slenderizing, and our school colors were green & white! Now the kids hardly have sports/gym!

Some of the reason today's kids are not thin is that phys ed has been all but eliminated from a lot of schools. They've completely wiped out the athletic field at our local elementary which is now an Ele-Middle (K-8).

We had the really fashionable white ones at Kinloch Park and Miami High School during the 50's to the 60's. Had white socks and white high tops to match. We wore these for 5 days before we took them home to launder!
