Thank you to Alvin Lederer for contributing this image from a postcard. The airport hotel, managed by Sky Host Hotels, has been added since the terminal's opening in 1959 and Eastern Air Lines has moved to Concourse 5 (now D) (right side) from the 36th Street Terminal. A couple of National Air Lines Lockheed Electras are visible on the Concourse 3 (now F) ramp on the left side.
A closeup view of this image shows the "Wilcox Field" letters mounted on top of the overhang in two locations left and right of the center above the upper drive. There are two sets of "National Air Lines" letters to the left of center lower that the Wilcox Field signage and "Pan American" to the right of the middle.
