1960 - looking north on LeJeune Road east of the new terminal at Miami International Airport

LeJeune Road, Miami, Florida

In this photo National Air Lines now has maintenance facilities on the west side of LeJeune and presumably no longer had to taxi aircraft across LeJeune Road to their previous hangar in the upper middle that is now the George T. Baker Aviation School. It was named after George T. Baker who owned National Airlines prior to selling it to Lewis "Bud" Maytag, who previously owned Frontier Airlines in Colorado. Baker donated the property and hangar to the Dade County Schools for use as an aircraft maintenance training facility. The National hangar on the left upper middle was torn down in 2001 to provide more ramp space for parking aircraft on the Central Base ramp. Eastern's hangar appears to have five aircraft parked in it for maintenance.

The road in the bottom right is where Oddjob killed Solo in Goldfinger.
