They widened and paved 7th Ave up to 119th st. to give better access to both the new Biscayne Kennel Club and the planned Cloverleaf of 441.

Note the roads were not fully paved. Prior to the construction of I-95 in 1958-59, most of the streets north of 125th Street east of 7th Ave. were unpaved sand and crushed rock.

The "unofficial" nickname for NW 7th Ave. (aside from 441 and State Road 7) was Central Boulevard... hence a number of businesses with that as part of their name...
