I believe that this American Station was just accross the street from "Sunny South" airport (on the west side) which was a grass runway just north of the Miami Drive-In Theater on NW 7th. Avenue. I had moved to Riveria Beach by 1968 but my folks were still living in the area. I do not remember what year the airport was "forced" out of this because a lot of homes were begining to build up in the area and every new home owner complained about the noise. Anyone remember?
