1950s - Pan American assembly line for aircraft engines at Miami International Airport

Miami International Airport, Florida

From the state archives description: "Once all parts have been thoroughly cleaned, inspected and replaced if necessary, the reassembling of the engines begins in the seven-acre engine overhaul building at the Miami overhaul base of Pan American World Airways. Separate assembly lines are provided for each type engine. This is the assembly line for the R-2000, 1.350-horsepower engines used in the DC-4 type Clippers."
