Commander Heins was Commanding Officer of Coast Guard Reserve Unit Air Station Miami in the late 80's. He was also a First Officer for Eastern Airlines before the strike effectively killed the airline. He was a First Officer with Delta Airlines at the time of this photo and he retired in January 2007 when he hit his 60th birthday.
