John was in the Hialeah High Class of 1967 and he became a pilot early on, flying a variety of propliners out of Miami International Airport's famous Northwest Corner for different cargo operators. He eventually became a B747 Classic (-100, -200, -300) Captain and flew for a number of charter and scheduled airlines and he still ferries B747 Classics around the world.
