My wife and I flew up to St. Louis and drove 250 miles to visit Ohio, Illinois, the old hometown of my grandfather, grandmother, father and two aunts and to see my grandfather's gravesite in Stevens Cemetery as mentioned in his obituary in the preceding photo. We were unable to find Stevens Cemetery because the entrance to it is unmarked on Illinois state road 26 (hey Lee County officials, how about a road sign at the entrance?). I was unable to find it on a Google search of the cemetery name and on Google Maps but found it on Google Earth after we returned home. I am posting this photo on my site so that the Google search engine will find it and this will let other people be able to find it via a Google name search for the cemetery.
We returned again on May 19, 2016 and visited the cemetery but unfortunately my grandfather's headstone has disappeared over the years along with many others in the cemetery.
For a more precise location, the cemetery entrance is 6.8 miles north of the Marathon gas station on the north end of Main Street in Ohio.
