This photo shows the east end of Concourse D (formerly A) on the left side which is where the former Eastern Airlines Air Cargo building was from the 1960's to 1990's. The former National Airlines headquarters and maintenance base extends eastward (to the right) from the large hangar and corporate headquarters, originally brown and tan but now "Ghastly Grey", of National Airlines which was bought by Pan Am in 1980 and used by Pan Am until they died on December 4, 1991. American Airlines leased the hangar, and a few floors of the corporate offices after Pan Am died. Also visible in the photo are the elevated MIA Mover tracks and the airport's Central Boulevard being rebuilt to put a bridge over Perimeter Road instead of Perimeter Road's old low bridge over Central Boulevard which has been removed. Click on the yellow "view map" to see an overhead view of the area.
