Roy Smith and I served together in the Coast Guard Reserve Aviation Unit at Air Station Miami for years and I gave him and his son a tour of Miami International Airport one day about a year before our reserve unit was decommissioned and we all became part-time employees of the active duty Coast Guard. Roy was a Falcon pilot in the USCG/USCGR and a Delta pilot in civilian life, based in Atlanta, Georgia. He commuted from his home in Tallahassee, Florida.
