Back in the 1967-1970 time frame I lived half a block over from this nice view and I often parked in the shade on weekends to read The Miami Herald which was available at the nearby 7-Eleven. Some huge freighters would go by in Seddon channel and it was an impressive sight. The island on the left side in the background on the other side of Seddon channel used to contain phosphate storage tanks for loading phosphate onto freighters and the dust in the air and on our cars was incredible if the wind was blowing the wrong way. Now the island has expensive homes, apartments, condos, etc.
