Thank you to Alvin Lederer for contributing this old postcard image. According to Wikipedia, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sunny_Isles_Beach,_Florida#History this was the first two-story motel in the USA, but Wikipedia is only as good as the accuracy of the person submitting the information. The fact that the postcard calls it a "Hotel" would make it a hotel and not a motel.

Does anyone know who was the bookkeeper here in 1953? I have recently learned that my biological father was a bookkeeper at a Miami Beach Hotel in 1953. Florida is a closed adoption state, so I don't have a name!!! I'd just like to learn his name, see pictures, and learn our family health history. Please e-mail me if you can help me!
