Yes! the banana bread that came in the bread basket. We used to go to the Tyler's in the Westchester shopping center.

Apparently, the building currently at the site (2016), is a rehab of this restaurant. If you look at the side-top, you can still see the remnants of the three rows of "tiles." The back of the structure is definitely "vintage."

Loved the banana bread. Used to eat there often when I was a night student at UM (1969-1972). The menu always had a "blue plate special" of some sort, just like home cooking.

I think they catered to bachelors and traveling sales/business people.

Cooper-Brown Olds was just across the street. I used to park my old jalopy over there and admire this gorgeous Oldsmobile Delta 88 Royale Convertible - bronzini brown with saddle leather and a beige top. The salesman tried to pitch me telling me how affordable it was - I told him if I bought it I was going to have to sleep in it. LOL
