Linda is Brenda's life-long friend from Baltimore. They graduated from Kenwood High School in Essex, Maryland, in 1967. In 1971 Linda moved to Homestead, moved again in 1981 to Englewood, and she now lives in North Port. She has been married to John Grother for 38 years.

Brenda was just starting her Florida vacation after flying up from St. Croix an hour earlier.
