We could not even continue walking without feeling guilty. By the time we realized we were in the middle of a major migration, we were "stuck" - fore and aft. Dozens - hundreds? -thousands? ... of these little guys were crossing the road! By the time we realized it, we were surrounded. Of course, it is all part of natural selection (Boy! The bluegills in the canal were probably waiting anyway!). Make lots and hope some survive! These guys are about the size of the nail on your pinky finger! But, geez, these guys sure hop fast!
