Quadra Island can get big windstorms anytime from October through March,
but November to January tend to be the worst months. This year has not been
too bad for storms, but the other night the wind took down a big tree on one
of Quadra’s two “superhighways”. This was about 10 kilometers from our
house so it didn’t affect our power. Our house usually has about a
half dozen outages per year because of trees falling on power lines.

In this photo you can see four workers, and two of them seem to be discussing
the work rather than actually doing it. Eight other people are observing the
situation. In other words, a pretty standard worker to spectator ratio. ;)

This does seem to be case anywhere, your ratio seems spot on!!

I only see one guy who looks like he's working, out of all the people there. Hope it got taken care of in the end.

We lose power here about as much. Many times the workers also count as spectators!

standard ratio yes, yet all present are experts on the situation, or so they like to appear..
