This was taken just before sunset on the east side of Quadra Island.
The red band appearing in the east (left side of the image) is a
reflection of the red setting sun in the west (camera right).
This so-called Belt of Venus is a common sight at this location
when there are clear skies at the end of the day.

HDR from 5 exposures at 1/8s f/16.0 at 24.0mm iso64 full exif
