This view is from South Chinese Mountain to the south end of Quadra Island.
Using the handy "measure distance" function in Google Maps, I found that it
is 17 kilometers from this point to the south shore. The vast majority of the
population of Quadra live in the area that can be seen here, even though this
is only about 20% of the area of Quadra.
