Shot with the noisy old D200 at H1 (i.e., ISO 3200).
Kind of looks like film to my untutored eye, but the
film aficionados probably can see a big difference.
(By the way, the D200 noise is horrible in colour.)

Best viewed at original size.

I do like the grain and it fits the subject well. V

Looks sharp and crisp, Don. Very nice considering the 3200 ISO. I rarely shot my D200 and D2x above 250 ISO because of the noise. Both had good color though. Vote.

Sometimes the noise looks good in an image and this a great example. In my opinion the D200 still is a very good camera. Interesting selection of Taschen books on your shelf.

Great use of that technology. I love that.
This has a perfect vintage look and feel.
Added bonus I have most of these books also!

certainly a gritty look...perhaps a longer exposure at a much lower ISO would deal with the issue...some notable reference books on your shelf...the Phaidon book of Canaletto's paintings is also one to consider for the key lessons in composition..

Changing to black & white really does help with noise.

Looks like you have a very nice photo book library! The D200 was a great camera.
