Neil and Dan's Excellent Adventure

Fellow PBase photographer Neil Marcus( https://pbase.com/neilmarcus ) and I went on a photo road trip covering various places in southeast Kansas, northeast Oklahoma, various central Route 66 spots in Oklahoma, Texas and New Mexico and then some very old towns and churches on the way from Albuquerque to Taos, NM. We drove over 2,000 miles in a week. We sought out and found a lot of old buildings, cars, classic Route 66 sights and more. An excellent if bitter-sweet gallery. It tells the story of your trip quite well, but to think of all the things which were busy and modern in the 50's, 60's, even the 70's and are now derelict and lost is a touch sad. The world has moved on, a lot.
