The background is a forest like area across the street from my kids's house. The TTArtisan 100mm f2.8 is brand new, but photos taken with it will be included in this gallery since it is a knock off of a very famous and relatively expensive East German lens, the Meyer-Optik Gorlitz Trioplan 100mm f/2.8, well known for making bubble bokeh like this. This lens is also extremely inexpensive: $150 brand new direct from the manufacturer. A good copy of the original starts at $600 and a really clean one is quite a bit more. My thanks to fellow PBase artist Vitee ( https://pbase.com/vitee ) for recommending this lens as an alternative to the Trioplan. He does some very artistic photography with both vintage and modern lenses alike.
