Modern Architecture Contrasts

New York City, NY

Located in the Chelsea neighborhood on the southwest part of the Manhattan at 11th Ave and 18th St. The IAC building is the one on the left. Jean Nouvel's 100 11th Ave is the tall one in the middle. Another view of it can be seen at: https://pbase.com/dlgphoto/image/164397932. I don't know what the shorter one on the right is called.

I have always been a fan of Frank Gehry's wild buildings. I didn't know the IAC was one of his when I photographed it and intend to one day go back and do it more thoroughly. Here is more info on it: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IAC_Building

The building in the left has a unique and very original shape and the reflection in its walls adds to the beauty of this picture!! BV. Anna

certainly an interesting array of styles...especially like the one to the left which appears to be melting!..
