This 5th volume of the Car Art Series focuses on those cars and trucks I have photographed, mostly at custom car and hot rod events, that are either finished in primer, still have their original patina, are partly finished in bare metal or are actual rat rods. Many are not yet finished and some may never be, but their owners take them out and have fun in them as they are. They may be imperfect and a bit rusty, but I and many others, love that aspect of these old cars and trucks. Some are historic creations from the 1960’s and 1950’s that were once newly customized and freshly painted and have deteriorated as they have been driven and aged. They have their own distinctive charm and look and definitely get driven in most cases, as opposed to the pristinely finished vehicles that are often trailered to events or only driven limited amounts.
