Smithsonite - A Zinc Carbonate. Sometimes referred to as Calamine and called "Dry-bone ore" by miners. This specimen comes from the Kelly Mine near Magdalena, Socorro Co., NM. I visited this old mine site and ghost town while in New Mexico in October 2009.
