I found myself back, as you can see in Singapore. As you can probably tell the sheer level of
travel since the New Year, may have gone somewhat to explain my recent hiatus.
The next couple of weeks were due to be action packed, and our first one was no different. We had
landed the night before, and spent most of the time in Raffles, before moving onto a neighbouring
hotel. Somewhat more modern, the Stanford is Singapore’s highest hotel at around 75 floors. It
also has a bar on the top floor, which gives wonderful views of the city. Perfect you might have
thought. But in order to get near to the window would have meant elbowing an amorous couple in the
ear. I did get a couple of shots, but haven’t had a good chance to process them properly yet.
So the day after, finding the weather to be unseasonably cool, we took the opportunity to go back
to the Zoo. After my abortive trip the last time with Terry, (where having taken around 10 shots
my battery gave up the ghost, only to find my spare had beaten the live one to dying….), I was
looking forward to making amends. More shots from there will follow in the Singapore III gallery below.
Anyway, the sum total of my fortnight?
1 new lens,
4 gig of extra memory,
7.5gig in total of raw photos to process, convert and post produce.
