One of the reasons I decided to start this project, was so that I could develop myself (no pun
intended), as a photographer. I've learned a fair bit since I started, about framing, technique,
composition as well as the more technical side of things. This photo's a good example. It wasn't
too long ago that I learned I was able to shoot TIFF straight from the camera. I thought at the
time that there wasn't too much difference between it and JPEG. As times gone on, I've realised
that this isn't the case at all. There's so much more detail picked up in TIFF. It's especially
important when the dynamic range on the Oly isn't as good as you would like it to be.

I shot this with the metering picking up the bright sky. Out of the camera, the hillside looked
pretty dark. A couple of tweaks in levels, soon brought out the level of detail you can see here!
Perhaps I should have posted the original too, so you could see the difference, but I forgot to
save it!

Anyway the village you see on the hillside is, yep, you've guessed it, where we're moving to. This
is shot from the trail on one of the forestry commission walks that surround us.
