12-06-05 easter aquhorthies

As Catherine wasn’t due to get back from Spain until later this evening, it meant that she wouldn’t
get home until Monday. This in turn meant that I had a day to myself, and a car with a full tank
of petrol (not to mention sunglasses, no smokes though, and it wasn’t dark….).

So I shot off past the house to check on progress, before following my nose to whatever took my
fancy. Before long I found myself heading out to the stone circle, again just outside of Northy’s
stamping ground. With the camera set up on a mini tripod, on top of one of the stones, I soon
realised, that using the remote control wouldn’t give me enough time to sit down properly. I
discovered this by taking several photos of my arse. Nice.

Eventually after around four attempts, I decided that the self timer might be a better idea. I
shot off a couple more frames, before deciding to call it a day, and head home.

I really like the brewing sky in this. After seeing your subsequent images and reading about the weather...this one really shows what's on the horizon

Wonderful image!
I like the drama of the B/W ... the tectures .. that amazing sky
I also like how the rocks seem to be wrapping themselves around you ... welcoming you into the environment.

I'm so pleased you finally got it figured. I'm sure your butt is very nice, but I would prefer this view of you, LOL!! Looks very moody which suits the place.

Moody... Had a play around with the shot in Gimp - a fair bit of detail in those shadows:http://www.pbase.com/image/44768033

Definitely filled with emotion. A vast space filled perhaps with loneliness. Nicely done.
