09-06-05 johnston gardens

It looked as though there was going to be thunder & lightning any minute yesterday, so on my way
home from work, whilst the sun was shining, I thought I'd make the most of it and visit Johnston
Gardens. Its a cracking little park, and on a number of times, has been voted the best in the UK.

Its a place that will always be special to me. I used to go there as a kid, with my grandparents
for a walk, and to feed the ducks. It was also the first place we went after our wedding, so as to
have our photo's taken throughout the gardens. I'll also never forget Catherine, and her sister
(our bridesmaid), taking slugs of Jack D out of a hip flask there, whilst both immaculately dressed
in their finery! Iconic.

I hope the bride & bridesmaid carried Tictacs, Dom :>) It's a lovely leafy haven, especially nice for wedding shots.
