05-06-05 windows on the sea

And I’m back up to date!!!!!

The day started early, as I had to drop Catherine over at her parents house. At the same time I
needed to surrender our car, so they could get down the road, before picking up my new car for the
week - a Toyota Yaris, hmm, it’s all about the bling.

Once I had dropped them off I nipped down to the beach to get a shot of the incoming storms over
the sculptures down there. The trouble was by the time I got down there in the flintstone mobile,
the clouds had lifted, and all I was left with was a fairly mundane grey sky. So I thought I’d
convert it to mono, and boost the contrast a little.

Then it was back to the house to complete the titivation on this weeks uploads. Before our
visitors for the day arrived!

This is a great sculpture ...
when I first saw the thumb I thought of an abstracted Stonehenge...!
This is just lovely in B/W ...

Ahhh but Dom, it's mundane ONLY if it's grey and there are no clouds.. these are nice ones.. I like it in b&w.,unusual rocks. is it a sculpure or is it old stones? I'm a dork.. i can't help it..lol

Very cool sculptures, Dominic! You did a great job with the treatment and contrast. It makes for a very thought-provoking shot.
