Aberdeen -> Inverness -> Loch Ness -> Skye
This is a view of Eilean Donan Castle on Loch Duich. We passed it on the road we took between
Inverness and Skye. It might not have been the most direct route, but as you can see it was
certainly scenic.
Around six hours after we set off from Aberdeen we arrived on Skye. It’s an island I’ve never had
the chance to visit before. As soon as we crossed the newly toll free bridge, we were off exploring.
We travelled up the island, round the headland, and from there down onto the next peninsular where
we spent the night in Dunvegan. We did this for no other reason than I used to live in a street
called after the castle in the village.
At this point of course we were treated to the camera which I had left onto charge overnight,
running out of juice. Thankfully I had the forethought to drag the old 35mm SLR with me too. Most
of the shots (all four rolls of film) I took are on film. I’ll develop these as soon as possible,
and from there upload some of the shots. I’ve a feeling though that I managed to expose one of the
films inadvertently, but hopefully it’ll still come out.
