Birmingham -> Aberdeen

No sooner was I off of the plane, but we were heading straight out to see the house. We got to the
site only to discover that the house had moved on very slowly. Although the encouraging thing was
that the exterior brickwork had started on some of the other houses. Our house shouldn’t be too
far behind!

We had also decided that rather than stay around during the weekend, waiting for progress on the
house, we’d jump in the car and head over to the west coast of Scotland for a weekend. We got our
camping gear ready, with a fallback of “if it rains we’ll just book into a hotel”. Secretly I
thought this would be the case, as it seems to rain a lot in Scotland, especially once you’re on
the west coast.
