It was a lovely warm day in Aberdeen yesterday. We finished work early, and shot straight out of
the house for a walk. After a long day it was nice to get out in the sun. Or at least it was for
the first 20 minutes, before it clouded over and the wind started. But there we go, the perils of
staying in the “frozen North”.
After a while we came upon this tree, I had a good idea of the shot I was after, but unfortunately
I’d left it a bit too late, and the blossoms were past their best. A little bit of sharpening, some
jiggery-pokery in levels, a layer, some Gaussian blur, and a little play with the opacity later,
and I was finished. Then I looked at the original, and couldn’t decide what one I liked better,
so there you go.
