08-04-05 park

OK so I'm no Niall O'Shea, and this is truthfully, genuinely one of my first candid attempts. The
loud audible bleep my camera gives out when you press the shutter, is enough to put me off
trying. Well that and the prospect of angry people, and there's a lot of those in Scotland!

That said, I was fairly pleased with this one. I say fairly, as what you don't really get an
idea of was how the little Girl and her Granny were skipping through the park hand in hand, in
the middle of a snow shower. There was something in that thought which really cheered me up
before I got into work. And it wasn't the prospect of the day ahead either (although it wasn't
too bad, at least that's one item of work off my plate for the time being)!

I think the use of selective color more than makes up for the distance the shot was taken at....as well as helping convey their mood in spite of the wet weather :)

You did a wonderful job of showing their happiness as a contrast to the dreary weather.

Good use of selective colour. It does bring a sense of fun to what looks like a cold day. Excellent

Excellent, Dom.. truthfully it gets a bit addicting. Long lenses help and.. um.. sneakiness. I was taught (by you know who) to act like you're fixing your camera.. keep looking at it then through the lens.. Hipshots (where no one knows your doing it because it's not at your eye level).. I do hate that the Nikon shutter sound seems louder.. or maybe I'm more aware..
they need to work on that..lol

Great colour treatment, I like the angle of the path as well.
