Who needs a groundhog?

Looks as though I'm going to have to post a day in arrears for the forseeable future. It's the
easiest solution to the dial-up problem, and means I don't need to hang around forever waiting to
upload a 1Mb + image to pbase.

It's also meant that I'm having to reduce all the images in PSE II before uploading. I thought I'd
be clever and resize to the largest image size on pbase, but all it has done is limit the options
on size available. Time consuming, and annoying, but I'm not going to give up this far in. This
is image #216, and I'm now almost two thirds of the way there!

Anyway, got home fairly early last night and the sun was shining, so I headed out for a quick walk
before going to the last lecture of my diving course - Decompression. Or depression, going by the
number of scare stories being passed on.

you can zip a few files up too and upload them at once to the same gallery, may save a bit time too, then move them about from there

Spring is coming ! As for size, I upload use the Save for Web function in PSE2 and 1000 pixel wide. Does for most things but I have a 17" Mac screen so never looks the same as the cheap 15" laptop monitor I use for work.

Truly a sign of spring!

Does anyone else giggle when they see these? Just me? OK.

Agree on resizing before upload - definitely saves time and megabytes. I haven't seen a willow around in a while - nice shot.

I always reduce my files in PSCS before uploading. Rarely do I upload any image that's more than 150Kb - and usually they are much smaller. Best to do all your compression at home - saves on upload time. This, by the way, is a superb image.

I really like this. Good luck with the 'depression' course.

Cold & damp, but a sign that it's going to change.

the darling buds of... March.

You're okay uploading 800x600 - PBase just doesn't show the "large" option because it's just the same as the "original" anyway. This is actually the best size to upload as most people will see the pic as you saved it - not the PBase version with drastic compression applied!

That's quite a shallow DOF!
