22-11-04 fury

Just back from my Scuba diving lesson. I had a good night too, with several of the tests
completed. If we carry on at this pace, we should be in the sea by Christmas. In which case we
may experience the rare phenomenon of the air temperature being lower than the water temperature.
I must be barking.
Although I'm starting to accumulate the Kit, as I added a new pair of fins to my bag this evening.
So there's no going back now.

Taking a step back to the temperature, and why I'm doing this, it all started back on our honeymoon
in Mexico. We went snorkeling on the Mayan reef. I had such a good time that I thought I'd like
to have a go at this properly. As things do, the idea slid to the back of my mind, until Catherine
started a new job. She works with the Branch Diving Officer which she mentioned to me, a well
placed email later and we were under the water breathing compressed air. Now if you want to know why
I'm going to persevere with this course, despite the threat of the Scottish Water, you only need to look
at the photo’s from Terry Joshi’s diving holiday. There are some pretty stunning shots there Terry!

Anyway, back to the face, another day, another set of headlines in football, and the racist
incidents just continue. This time it was another black player (Dwight Yorke) being abused, but
this time in the premiership. The Police are "probing" the incident, although I don't know how
much they need to probe, when they caught the guy at it on TV. Pondlife. On top of this the
Spanish/English game rumbles on. I'm just starting to wonder what year we're living in when people
(admittedly a select few) think this kind of behaviour is acceptable.

I think Saboo belongs in the same pond judging by the ignorance of his comment.

I thought...DeNiro. Raging Bull. Not for similarity in looks, but fore the BW, the expression and mostly for the angle of the head...the look in the eyes. Like the concentration of a boxer with his guard up. Excellent work.

scary shot..thanks for the comment on our underwater shots and pleased to hear it's keeping you going on the diving course. It will all be worth it when you get to the beautiful seas in this area.

Yep, looks like some of the TV shots over the weekend here. WTH are people thinking??

Following along with your dive log... are you planning on a North Sea adventure... yikes! A dry suit, I would hope :)

I'm not into sports but the brawl at a US basketball game is all over the TV. It's crazy...
