30-09-04 edinburgh

Finished my course a wee bit earlier than I thought.
So I walked from the Royal Mile down to Princess Street, stopping for a possible other PAD and into the Gardens (via Jenners for a gift for Catherine).

Then popped along to the National Gallery, and I was going to see
the Titian exhibition which is on just now, but I couldn't convince my colleague
to part with £7 entrance fee for the limited time we had.
Instead, we went into the main collection, saw some Da Vinci, Goya, Rubens, etc.

Interestingly, they cited Rembrandt as the most prolific self portrait
artist ever. They've obviously never seen Jeannes PAD. No contest.

Also managed to make it in past the new parliament. Still think I like it.
Although I do think I'm in a minority on that.

Nice. I got the train from Haymarket - the 3.05 GNER to Aberdeen (although I got off at Dundee)!

Great shot love the sepia toning. My confession for the day...my father was Scottish and I have NEVER been to Scotland, one of these days!

What a fantastic picture! I really like the use of the grey tones on this one Dom, it really brings the picture alive! You can almost feel the atmosphere that exists within this superb building - keep up the good work!

This is great, wonderful choice of toning! I want to come to the UK!!! NOW!

So much character in these buildings. An excellent image.

Very regal looking building. Lots of detail against the sky.

Was kicking around the same(ish) area around then... although slightly more to the east. I took an identical pic to this one (not online) last night in the dark.
