26-09-04 queens view

"Lo, what a prospect meets the eyes
when gazing raptured o'er Cromar.
Beyond the Grampian peaks arise
the crowning heights of Lochnagar"
George Stephen

Ask and ye shall receive - Dom's PAD. 26-9
Therefore this is to all (Pete, Jude & Jeanne especially),
who had mentioned that they wanted to see more of Scotland through my eyes!

This is the queens view, just outside Tarland, in Aberdeenshire.
Lochnagar is the largest mountain on the horizon.
A mountain which has a large loch at it's summit.
Very beautiful, and a sight which I will show you one day.
(If I can "borrow" a helicopter).

Olympus C-50Z
erm, shot into the sun, so fast shutter,
tightly closed arpeture, and no idea what ISO. Sorry. full exif

other sizes: small medium large auto

Looks like the weather's holding out for my return. Excellent shot, Dom, but somehow I prefer the one of the stone circle.

Even more beautiful than how I picture it. Visiting Scotland is on my "have to do before I die" list.
