After travelling for over 30 hours, I arrived in Australia. I had intended when the trip was first
proposed to take Catherine and Sam with me. But when we checked the cost of the trip, and
considered the benefits against the drawback of a three month old with jetlag, we decided it was
best they stayed at home. This meant I arrived drawn, tired and feeling very alone.
All I wanted to do was to get my head down for a couple of hours, to try and feel human again. The
news that the Hotel was full the previous night soon hit home that it would be a few hours before
I'd get to sleep. So I had a shower and a change of clothes in the Guest services room, and went
out to explore.
Thankfully the hotel I was staying in is situated at the Rocks. So within 5 minutes I was walking amongst icons.
Posting this hopefully also explains my absence over the last month - it was a long long trip.
Fly and run 'till it hurts.
