Is it a helicopter? Is it a plane? Well, it's both.

This is the Osprey tilt-rotor aircraft - which does exacly what it says on the tin. The engine pods at the end of each wing to swing the rotors (or are they propellors?) from vertical to horizontal, and back again. The result - something that's faster than a helicopter, but can still take off and land like one.
