While walking on la colline with some friends, Denise learned of two chimpanzees penned in cages at the abandoned Bangui zoo. One escaped and was killed, but Denise and her friends fed the other, named Batimbi (Sango for "My Brother.") for well over a year until I was able to relocate him to Chimp Eden in South Africa.
