The Trip to Florida

Dianne and I spent the Fourth of July weekend and a couple of extra days
in Melbourne, Florida, celebrating with my parents their 65th wedding
anniversary. I'll be posting a series of pictures from this trip over the
next few days.

Here, we're on our way in our private jet, which we've had painted to
match Southwest Airlines, because we don't like a lot of attention from
the less fortunate.

I bought a new P&S for the trip, figuring it was less "threatening" than the
DSLR and assorted lenses to my parents when I wanted to snap away -- and
easier to travel with, too. I love the camera and found the movie mode amazing as well.

Canon PowerShot A720 IS
1/60s f/2.8 at 5.8mm iso200 full exif

other sizes: small medium original auto

Low profile is the way to go whether on a covert assignment or luxurious vacation. Additional secure coverage of the assignment is eagerly awaited, but be careful with the movie function, as it can easily reveal too much. Have fun!

Ah yes, romantic bliss. I like my PowerShot camera almost more than my DSLR. And, it's easier to hide.

Y'all look so happy! I'm glad that you decided to paint the private jet because you don't need paparazzi following you all over the place!

Good choice for a P&S. The low profile ideas worked well on both the camera and jet ;-)
