For Pepe and Herb

This is to demonstrate that Pepe and Herb aren't the only people
who know how to take a good bird photograph! Not to mention Gayle,
Robin, and all the rest of you birders!

I can't tell you how long I had to wait to get just the right shot.
Patience of Job, I tell you! Now, get out and VOTE! :-)

This is so adorable. You do a great job shooting birds!
Guest 06-Dec-2005 15:39
This is most stunning!! You really caught the killer shot!
Guest 06-Dec-2005 11:54
Without the 600mm you may never have been able to get close enough to get a capture of this fantastic feathered friend.
Cliff06-Dec-2005 04:13
Eat your heart out Pepe ! :o)
Cindy06-Dec-2005 03:43

The word dork comes to mind.
Guest 05-Dec-2005 20:53
Most ppl shoot birds in natural light condition :P
Robin Reid05-Dec-2005 14:56
Ha, ha. Sure I'll vote. What a stunning catch. It is so difficult to get a rare bird like this taken inside with a 600mm lens. What great fun Gary!

Only a true birder will appreciate your patience and persistence to get this colorful image,
you forgot to describe the song pattern, but this is forgiven. Thank you for sharing this image.
Gail Davison05-Dec-2005 13:07
I'll vote. I can only imagine how many hours you sat in the cold to get this shot. hahahahah.
Guest 05-Dec-2005 10:51
I think he is really getting into the spirit of things for you, Gary! Great pose! ;)
Guest 05-Dec-2005 07:17

Gosh!
It doesn't seem to be breathing and it obviously
has poor eyesight.
Are you sure this wasn't roadkill you propped up
for this photo?
Better wash your hands Gary...there's a pandemic
going 'round.
;^O

Wow! It's the rarely sighted, orange tufted, green rimmed Chick-a little!!
Wonderful shot Gary!
Pepe Zyman05-Dec-2005 04:56
This is so cool. I love how you "hunt" with a camera, get killer shots, and let the critter carry on with it's life. You get the trophy (photo) and no harm's done. You're so good at it, too!
Sure you don't work for Audobon?
Stunning, perfect, Wow!
Just one question, how did you manage to shoot at 600mm when the exif says 50?
LOL!
