How Some San Diegans Spent Saturday Afternoon

I mentioned a secret mission in my last photo. Now it can be revealed.
Yesterday I took up a challenge to ride (on my bike) the number of miles
equal to my upcoming birthday (which would be 55). I not only met the
challenge, but exceeded it, doing a "metric century" of 62 miles (100 kilometers).

Given that I took up cycling only four months ago, I was very pleased. I've
lost 14 pounds in this time as well, with no special diet.

I have an alternate PESO for today. Can't decide which I like better --
the one above, or this one: http://www.pbase.com/image/50437292

What's your opinion?

I like this one Mr. Thin Man. The humans add to the power of the surf.
I'm much impressed with your bike riding.

Way to go Gary! A metric centry! Losing all that weight it will be hard to find you in all those SP's. We'll have to look closely. :-)

I can't make up my mind so you get a twofer today, Congrats on the ride (it's a good thing your age isn't measured by the metric sysem, heh) and continuing slimming down. Inspirational on all levels. Really.

Great shot, gmv.
Gary I can't tell you how pleasantly surprised I was to see a real photo.
Great news on your weightloss and 100 klicks of bike ride.
You are on the best way to become a lean and mean bike rider.

While both are excellent, I'm going with this one. I just like the comp and the lighting better. Kudos on your personal challenge!!!!

Congratulations Gary...14pounds ( 6.3 Kg ) in 4 months probably equates to 10 years added onto your life so therefore your only 45 yrs old.......way to go !!!

Love this shot too, cannot choose between but can vote for both.
