This is the ten thousand and first image from my Digital Rebel.
I'm really glad that this particular image came out so well -- no
processing except rotating slightly and very light USM.
Had I been using film this would have been on the 417th roll (at
24 exposures per roll), and at $15 for each roll to purchase and
have developed, I would have spent $6,255 on film.
The horrendous cost of digital equipment is paid for by the savings in expenditures for film and the convenience factor of seeing photos right away (and it's much better than the old Polaroid system). Too bad it took me so long to get on the electronic bandwagon. Those lavender leaves are gorgeous. Nice composition too.
Wonderful shot to celebrate the milestone. The jacaranda tree is so lovely, and I can even see the red bougainvillea in the foreground.
And isn't the money savings incredible!
