10,001

This is the ten thousand and first image from my Digital Rebel.
I'm really glad that this particular image came out so well -- no
processing except rotating slightly and very light USM.

Had I been using film this would have been on the 417th roll (at
24 exposures per roll), and at $15 for each roll to purchase and
have developed, I would have spent $6,255 on film.

So, once again, woohoo for digital!

The horrendous cost of digital equipment is paid for by the savings in expenditures for film and the convenience factor of seeing photos right away (and it's much better than the old Polaroid system). Too bad it took me so long to get on the electronic bandwagon. Those lavender leaves are gorgeous. Nice composition too.

Congrats on a true landmark. How long did it take you?
I think about 10,000 shots and I'm lucky to have a couple hundred that are worth keeping, urg!

Wonderful shot to celebrate the milestone. The jacaranda tree is so lovely, and I can even see the red bougainvillea in the foreground.
And isn't the money savings incredible!

I agree, welcome digital!!!
beautiful colors. That purple tree, is it a "Jacaranda" ?, this trees looks beautiful at this time of the year!!
And the frontal one it is a buganbilia, wich most of the year has a nice color, but this time of the year has the most beautiful color of the year!!
