Self Portrait

I'd be curious to hear what mood you see in this picture.

A "not quite ready for PaD" shot is here: http://www.pbase.com/image/41219617

(P.S. My eye continues to heal, and this picture has nothing to
do with how I feel about that.)

I find this SP in a worried mood or perhaps in deep thoughts!!

Hard to judge mood... for me it's a strong portait and the framing keeps my interest. Maybe a tad soft on the eyes.

Not sure what mood I get from this image, but YAY on the good news

Contemplation!! Love the hat btw, and glad to hear the eye is healing, where are the glasses?? I can't see a thing without my contacts, have to wear glasses if I can't wear the contacts.

Can't decide if there's a bit of sadness or resignation but some determination also. Very introspective-are you gonna tells us?? (Like the hat, too)

Oh, Oh, just had a thought...could the disappointment be that 2 of the 3 Amigos will have something common ( like Australia ) to discuss while this little piggy stayed home..LOL !!
laine8226-Mar-2005 01:12
Your disappointed over something, but there's a slight jut of determination to your chin that says you wont let it beat you. Pleased about the eye healing too, Gary.

Geez not a bad looking fellow. A little stern or serious maybe. Good shot.
Cheryl Hawkins26-Mar-2005 00:17
You don't look mad or particularly unhappy, maybe slightly like your ready for a major discussion with someone.

I like your face.

I see a question in your eyes, Gary. A thoughtful look there.

Good work...

I agree w/Purpod... you look quite serious.
Of course, maybe he doens't know you are always a bit off center ;-)
JeremyGood25-Mar-2005 18:51
What I see is: "It's been a long week, but it's over and I'd like a drink."

Both are excellent SPs, but I really like the b&w version!
purpod25-Mar-2005 18:00
I like the portrait very much. The downturned lips & the hat give me the feel of a
"determined" look. I like the off-centeredness too; gives you character ~
