This was a test...

It took about a minute and a half to upload this image. I'm testing
whether Firefox is any faster for me than Safari 4.0. I will say it's
the first time I've been able to upload in about three days.

Canon EOS 50D
1/250s f/5.6 at 200.0mm iso1600 full exif

other sizes: small medium large original auto

4 sec for post #2 that is normal for me
Michael J. Parkinson12-Mar-2009 22:25
30 sec. way longer than it normaly takes.

One more test.

And then it took just three seconds to post the second message.

What in the world could be going on?
Soenda12-Mar-2009 20:47
Right you are. It took between 10 and 15 seconds to upload. And this is coming from one of the quickies. I seldom have time lag problems with any operation---loading, commenting, posting, etc.

That's very perplexing. Why can I add a photo to my own gallery in a fraction of the time needed to post a comment here? (Rhetorical question)

I can understand how frustrating it must be.

Pretty picture!
I'm checking the speed with which my comment uploads.

The last comment loaded in 5 seconds uinsing the technique I mentioned.

I somes click on upload twice which seems at accelerate the process. And after I click on "Add Comment" I then click on next or previous which always speeds things up.

Post Script: it took less than a minute for me to post that comment ~

Interesting ~ a beautiful image even if it's only a test.
{also, internet explorer & yahoo have been very slow, imho}
test or no, ygmv, Gary ~ truly elegant and still comfy ~

I think it's PBase that's holding things up. It's taking a long time sometimes just to post comments.

FYI- It just took 1.25 minutes to post that comment...

I have been using Firefox now for about 7 or 8 months without problems (from Firefox that is). It was a good transition from Netscape once they gave it up. Glad to see you get something up. It is still slow on my end too. I can hardly keep up on commenting right now (either here or on my 3G Blackberry).

Positive sidenote: I have been able to add to my RedBubble account and link several here on Pbase successfully.

A very pretty geranium...simple yet effective.
