First thing I noticed about the food was red fringes at the edges of the corn. I made a rough selection of the corn and went to hue and saturation (under Enhance>Adjust Color>Hue and Saturation) selected Edit:Red and moved the saturation slider to the left.
The food still looked too washed out to me mix so I opened up levels again and moved the left slider to the right a bit to darken it. Not perfect, but more pleasing than the original.
