On iStock Background

It's a lot easier to shop for backgrounds on the web than to go to a shopping center and try to capture something and not get stopped for using your camera. I bought this medium sized (sized down here) image from iStock.com. Cost $3 to download it. You can get images in different sizes. This is just a start for me. Hoping to get a picture of a HAPPY Ricky! (The 5D is not mine. The EXIF is from the background photo, which I bought.)

Canon EOS 5D
0.60s f/18.0 at 185.0mm iso100 full exif

other sizes: small original auto

Very nice. Already getting ready for Xmas. Ricky doesn't seem to happy. Did you interrupt his cat chasing activities? 8-)

What a really good idea if you are stuck for a Xmas background. I would never have guessed that it was a stock photo. Liked the way that white (faux) snow surrounds Ricky.

wow! Totally perfect Isabel. I'll have to check them out! I like how you cloned in the "cotton" in the foreground to make him look very planted. There is no way to tell at all that you didn't do this totally in your own home studio. Terrific job.
